Give to 4-H

Over 109,000 4-H members in Pennsylvania are learning the skills necessary to become competent, caring, confident, connected, and contributing citizens of character. Increased financial support, both public and private, is necessary to maintain and enhance the quality of the educational programs for which 4-H is known. The Office of Outreach Development seeks private support for the Pennsylvania 4-H Program.

Funds are raised to support four main areas:

  • Member Recognition - Recognition is provided to 4-H members for outstanding achievements.
  • Leadership Development - The development of leaders, both teens and adults, is the cornerstone of 4-H.
  • Program Enhancement - Pennsylvania 4-H must continually enhance and add educational and development programs to keep up with the needs of the youth and communities across the state.
  • Endowment Programs - Endowments have been established through the Youth Development Fund to insure the perpetuity of specific projects as well as the Pennsylvania 4-H Program.

The Office of Outreach Development strives to make the public aware of the growing 4-H program. The 4-H youth development program involves young people in our cities as well as those in the most rural communities. As we embrace a second century of youth development, continuing support from the private sector is essential. Together, we will continue to ensure the highest quality 4-H experience for the youth of Pennsylvania.
