The Need for Support

Since its founding in 1902, 4-H has demonstrated its worth in agriculture, homemaking, nutrition, dairy production, gardening, and many other areas.

However, recent years have seen a decline in support from federal and state funds. A dedicated endowment is needed if Pennsylvania 4-H programs are to remain vital through the twenty-first century.

Building 4-H Endowments

Gifts to the Pennsylvania 4-H Keystone Society will be used to sustain the Commonwealth’s 4-H program. The society is open to individuals and organizations that give a minimum of $2,500 to help grow Pennsylvania 4-H endowments. The gift may be made as a single payment or through an annual pledge of $500 for five consecutive years.

How Can Pledges Be Made?

There are several ways to make your gift  in a single payment of $2,500 or as a pledge of $500 for five years. You may choose to pay the entire sum in cash or in appreciated stocks. Your pledge may also be paid annually, biannually, or quarterly.

A gift of $2,500 works out to just $42 per month for five years. If you’d like, the monthly amount can be made as an electronic funds transfer each month for five years.

You may designate your pledge to support your local 4-H county endowment or any of the many statewide 4-H program endowments.
